Mind Your Energy

So are we just going to continue to feel the need to have an opinion about what other people do with their time & life? I mean I get it, we have a select few who literally get paid to have an opinion but for those of us who don’t? What’s the excuse? Boredom? Inferiority? Jealousy? Ignorance? Hm. That one right there needs a minute ..or two. This word gets tossed around so much & sometimes the one that is using it is ignorant too. I’m sure the negative emotions are beginning to rise at this point lol. But lets dissect this. Ignorance simply means “lack of knowledge” ..so don’t we all possess this in one way or another? Does the doctor possess the knowledge to construct a building? Does the engineer possess the knowledge to perform a knee surgery? Does the mechanic possess the knowledge to fly a plane? Does a “straight” person possess the knowledge to be in a relationship with someone of the same sex? Does a Woman who has never been pregnant possess the knowledge to tell another Woman how to deal with her pregnancy? Does a light skinned person possess the knowledge to tell a dark skinned person ..you get my point.

Even though all of these things can be learned and/or the knowledge can be gained, doesn’t mean that it is already possessed. So guess what my friend, if you have never experienced it before; You’re ignorant. Your opinion doesn’t matter. Your time & energy has just been wasted.

If we were to refocus these opinions to our own lives we would have no room for the unnecessary events that occur when we don’t. Depression, mental illness, suicide, violence, self-harm, anger & sadness would be at its lowest levels. Yet, we live in a world shared with faithfully ignorant people, so the chances of this happening is damn near slim to never. But what about YOUR world? Your life? You know ..that place where you are in control? That place where you possess the knowledge for your experiences so therefore your opinion is valid? There is where we thrive baby. There is where we not only acknowledge our ignorance but we act on it. Realizing that that need to have an opinion about what others do with their time & life is really not a concern of ours (unless asked). And even when we are asked, if we have never experienced it before, we do our part to let the one who is asking know our ignorance. And if it is knowledge that you care to possess then why not learn/obtain it together?
